Underground returns to our new 100-seat theatre opening at Buxton Working Men’s Club, running alongside our popular Spring Gardens space in the heart of Buxton’s shopping street.

About Us

Underground has managed award-winning theatres and performance venues since 2006. Set up by two Buxton teenagers to bring more diverse performance into their home town, Underground is now in its 20th year, and runs the premiere and most popular venues on the Buxton Fringe.

We host a diverse programme of over 150 performances, every year, from every genre and corner of the UK. Underground have previously managed venues at the Old Hall Hotel, Pavilion Arts Centre and Old Clubhouse in Buxton, as well the Old Fire Station in Oxford and events in London and Edinburgh.
