Key Terms And Conditions
- Due to the nature of the performance space, it is not possible to admit latecomers. Please ensure you arrive at the venue at least 5 minutes before the performance start-time.
- Unless the show has been cancelled, no refunds can be offered under any circumstances. This includes mis-bought tickets, changed plans, or missing the show due to late arrival.
- All seating in the venue is unallocated. Customers will be seated in the order they arrive in the space. It is not possible to reserve seats.
- If you have any access needs, please email boxoffice@underthefringe.com
Online sales
- Tickets can be booked online for all shows with no booking fees. Bookings remain open until five minutes before the start time of each show.
- Customers booking online will receive an email from Underground Venues confirming their booking. If you do not receive an email, you must assume your tickets have not been booked. Please email boxoffice@underthefringe.com and we will rectify any error.
- Customers are required to have a copy of their booking confirmation email with them when they come to the show, as proof of booking, if required.
- When you book online, you must provide a full name, a valid email address, a postcode and a phone number. These details will never be used for any purpose other than to identify your booking, to contact you to confirm, and in case of any issues with your booking or a cancellation. (You can choose to join our mailing list but this is not required.)
- Payments will appear on your bank statement as a made to Thundergree, which is our trading name.
Attending the show
- Directions on how to find the venue are at underthefringe.com/about/find-us
- There is a bar and waiting area at both venues. However, customers are responsible for making your way to the performance space in time for the show.
- Please arrive at the performance space at least five minutes before the start time of the show to ensure you can be admitted in time.
- To enter the show, you will need to provide the name you booked under and may need to confirm the email address or postcode. Please ensure you know the correct details you booked with to avoid issues on the door.
In-person sales
- We recommend booking online where possible.
- If you can’t book online, we will be selling tickets in-person from our waiting area, upstairs at Sacro Lounge. This Box Office will usually be open between 12:30pm-10:00pm each day of the Fringe (however, we cannot guarantee it will be open at all times).
- All in-person sales are done by card. Unfortunately, it is prohibitively expensive for us to obtain and secure enough change to offer cash sales.
- If you have been unable to book online or in-person, we can also sell any remaining tickets ‘on the door’ five minutes before the performance start-time. This will again be via card payment.
Audience warnings
- All our shows are available to any audience members who want to attend them, regardless of age. We do not believe in restricting people via age ratings (e.g. "18+ only")
- Some shows however, do contain material that parents may consider unsuitable for their children. Shows that are definitely suitable for children (though not necessarily aimed at them) are identified with a 'Family Friendly' symbol (smiley face) in the Buxton Fringe programme (see online here).
- Information (provided by acts) on potentially offensive content (e.g. swearing, distressing scenes etc.) can be found from the show's page on our website.
- Parents are advised to seek advice before buying tickets for children to any event not marked with this Family Friendly symbol. Ask in-person or email us on boxoffice@underthefringe.com
Discounts
- We offer discounted tickets to the following groups: over-65s, students, children, Friends of the Fringe, Equity and BECTU members.
- The discounts are between £1-£4 depending on the group and the show – see the booking page for exact details.
- If you are in one of these groups, please select this when booking online or inform us when booking in-person. Concessions or discounts can’t be retrospectively applied.
- In 2024 we have also added a ‘Cost Of Living Discount’ which is between £2-£4 off for each show. This is designed to help those who would otherwise struggle to afford the cost of a full-price ticket due to their income or outgoings. Unlike the other groups, this discount is self-selecting – if you think it applies to you, then you can request it online or in-person, no questions asked.
- Unless explicitly stated, concessions and discounted tickets cannot be combined with each other or with any other offers or promotions.
Refunds And Cancellations
- No refunds can be offered unless a performance is cancelled.
- This includes customers who aren’t able to enter the venue due to late arrival.
- If a show has to be cancelled for any reason, we will email you as soon as possible using the email address you booked with. Please allow 7 working days for the refund of the ticket price to arrive in your account.
